Vanny Huot is a community connector guided by love, compassion, curiosity and reciprocity. She is a Khmer refugee who grew up in the Shirley Ave neighborhood of Revere, Massachusetts and a proud contributor to the neighborhood's quality of life through her work in community development within the last decade. During this time, she developed her skills in community organizing, affordable housing advocacy, small business support and technical assistance, creative place-making, passing down oral history, storytelling and cultivating intergenerational leadership.

She believes that youth empowerment and leadership training is critical to social change and everyone should have access to education, affordable healthy food, housing and reliable modes of transportation. As a long term supporter of Revere Youth in Action, Vanny stepped into the role of the interim Executive Director to grow the organization's operational capacity since relocating to our new office space close by City Hall.
